The plan for the Jardin de Fivaz

The 376 "lanternes" down the long path will be simple, hand made paper "bags" in a spectrum of colors that contain a candle for illumination and sand to hold them steady. The "Lanternes d'Art" will be 50 larger commercial bags of white craft paper. We are recruiting artists from Neuchâtel to paint or decorate these bags.

We are targeting the 14th of Sept, depending on the weather using the 16th as an alternative date.
Budget for this project is 400 CHF.

Les 376 lanternes disposées le long de l'allée seront de simples cornets en papier faits à la main de couleurs différentes, qui contiennent une bougie pour l'illumination et du sable pour les tenir debout. Les "Lanternes d'Art" seront 50 grands sacs de papier blanc (type Migros). Nous recherchons des artistes de Neuchâtel pour peindre ou décorer ces sacs.

Nous planifions que événement aura lieu pendant le weekend du Jeûne Fédéral. Le budget pour ce projet est de 400.- CHF.

To paint a white paper bag - in their style - for a one-night public art installation in Neuchâtel.
Amateurs and professionals welcome - all items submitted will be displayed. Painting to take place in the Jardin Anglais (or - in case of bad weather- in the Cafe "New 21") on Saturday, September 7th.

Recherchons Artistes !

Pour peindre un sac en papier - dans leur propre style - pour une expo artistique publique d'un soir à Neuchâtel. Amateurs et professionnels bienvenus - toutes les oeuvres seront présentées.
La séance de peinture se déroulera au Jardin Anglais (ou - en cas de mauvais temps - au café "New 21") le samedi 7 septembre.

CREW MEMBERS WANTED!

The Société is also looking for "crew" members to assist with the creation, installation and security for this event. As noted above, the target date is the 14th of SEPT or the 16th in case of rain.
CREATION - Beginning at 14:00 in the Jardin anglais, we need 10 to 20 volunteers to help build the 350 lanterns for that nights installation. This task requires no prior experience and is clean and easy.
INSTALLATION - Beginning at 18:30 in the Jardin anglais, we need 10 people to assist with the deployment of the lanterns. Most people would act as security to keep the lanterns and candles out of harms way.
SECURITY - From 18:30 to 00:00, we need 20 or more people to work at various times keeping the installation secure and assist with safety.
