My favorite science writer is Mary Roach, whose books are laced with incredible wit and humor. I never had the pleasure of reading Sharon Begley, but now I want to.
Science writing as a genre is highly underrated, and there’s an element of heroism about it that I admire very much. During the science-unfriendly Trump administration, honest, courageous journalists and scientists did so much to raise awareness about issues that politicians would rather ignore.
