I wanted to write a couple of obituaries for my parents and share them with my brother and sisters so they can add what they wish.
Gildo “Gil” Paul Sergneri,93, passed away on June 25, 2011 in Ephrata Washington. He was born January 6th, 1918 in Ludlow Massachusetts to Theresa and Henry Sergneri. Gil served in the US Navy during World War II, stationed in the Pacific theater. After his service, he went to work for the Bureau of Reclamation in Ephrata Washington. There he met and married Beverly Livingston (nee Bundy). Bev had two children by a previous marriage, Susan and Donald Livingston, and with Gil grew the family to five children, adding John, Theresa, and Gilda.
Gil was an avid golfer with an impressive handicap. He was one of the founders of the Lakeview Golf and Country club in Lakeview Washington.
Gil lived a long and healthy life, loved to cook and entertain. He kept his office “The Gil Sergneri Agency” open long after he retired and kept active in the community until his late 80s.
Gil is buried in the Ephrata cemetery. He was preceded by his brother and sisters, Olga, Elio, Elenore, and Jeanie, all of Ludlow. He is survived by Beverly, and all five children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Beverly “Bev” Sergneri (formerly Livingston, nee Bundy) passed away peacefully on March 15, 2018 after a brief illness. She was 93. Bev was born Oct 6th, 1924 in Wenachee Washington of Chester and Anne Bundy. Bev met and married Donald Livingston in Wenachee and had two children, Susan and Donald (Jr.). They moved to Ephrata Washington, and Mr. Livingston was killed in an accident in 1948. Bev and her mother Anne raised the family until Anne’s death in 1950. Bev then met and married Gil Sergneri in 1951 and they had three more children, John, Theresa, and Gilda.
Bev worked for the Grant County PUD for many years until her retirement in 1989.
Bev was active in the parish affairs of St Rose of Lima Church until 2014 when she “retired” again. She was gregarious and well liked by her community. She was preceded in death by her older brother Norris Bundy of Corvallis Oregon and her husband Gil Sergneri. She is survived by her five children, many grand and great grandchildren.
