I suspect this is more common than I know but my first sighting of a kid riding a bike with a cell phone in one hand really bothered me. I use a dash cam and took the trouble to download the recording, find the kid, and clip it to a jpg file.
He’s wearing a helmet and is riding on the right side of the street with traffic, all pluses, but seeing this scares me. The street we are on is pretty busy, normally people drive at 30 MPH or below.
However, we all know, it only takes one second for this to go horribly wrong.

He’ll be well prepared to drive and text by the time he’s 16–if he lives that long.
