San Francisco Call, 25 January 1892
RAID ON THE FLIERS.
Several Speedy Drivers Arrested by the
Park Police.
There has been so much fast driving through the park of late that the Commissioners ordered the park police to arrest all the too speedy ones. Yesterday Commissioners Austin and Hammond were nearly cut down by some of the high flyers. Eight arrests, however, were made, and O. Riconi, D. Russell, T. Ryan, C. Moyhon, W. Casey, J. Holman, F. Schroeder, J. Halidnan and A. Voeke had to put up $20 bail each to secure their release.
A candy peddler at the beach, handicapped though he was by the alphabetical conglomeration of John Geomeirycrotch, was arrested yesterday for violating a park ordinance.
