FIGHT FOR A GAL.— The Monitor Gazette of October 8th says :
We are informed that a fight is to come off on
Sunday afternoon, about five miles below Ante-
lope City, on Walker’s river, between an emi-
grant named ” Mac” and an hombre a native of
Walker’s bottom, known as Yankee Sullivan.
The cause of the encounter is an emigrant
young lady, whom Mac claims to have fairly
won in many a moonlight trip gathering buffalo
chips, and to whom Yank has been paying dark
night visits in the sage brush at their present
encampment. The betting is in favor of Mac.
