Another Narrow Escape. — Oroville escaped
narrowly another fire, on Tuesday evening, April
7th, about nine o’clock. The alarm was occa-
sioned by the falling of a camphene lamp in a
cigar store, kept by a woman of doubtful reputa-
tion. The lamp had been carelessly suspended
by a string.
Photographs and Ambrotypes. — Mr.
DICKMAN, who occupied the building No. 115 J street,
which fell down a few days since, has removed to No
850 J street, a few doors above Crocker’s dry goods
store, near the Public Square, where he will remain
till his old place has been rebuilt. Mr. Dickman is the
only person who takes paper pictures in Sacramento.
